Extend the Life of Your Heater.

Sediment is the #1 killer of water heaters. Regular flushing removes the buildup that causes rusting, rumbling, and premature failure.

Our Maintenance Checklist

  • 🚽
Tank Flush Draining the tank to remove calcium & sand.
  • 🧪
Tankless Descaling Circulating vinegar to clean the heat exchanger.
  • 🛡️
Anode Rod Check Inspecting the sacrificial rod that stops rust.

Prevent the Leak.

Most water heaters don't die of old age; they die of neglect. Minerals in our water settle at the bottom of the tank, creating a barrier between the burner and the water. This causes the metal to overheat and crack.

For tankless units, scale buildup clogs the tiny passages in the heat exchanger, triggering error codes and shutting down your hot water. Pinette Plumbing provides the professional care your system needs to keep running efficiently for decades.

Protect Your Warranty.

Many manufacturers require proof of annual maintenance to honor warranty claims. We keep digital records for you.

Maintenance FAQs

How often should I flush my water heater?
Once a year is the standard recommendation. If you have particularly "hard" water, you might benefit from every 6 months.
Can I flush it myself?
Yes, routine flushing is DYI-friendly if you are careful with boiling hot water. However, checking the anode rod and descaling tankless units often requires tools and chemicals best handled by a pro.
What is an anode rod?
It's a magnesium or aluminum rod inside your tank that attracts corrosion so the steel tank doesn't rust. It "sacrifices" itself to save the tank. Replacing it when depleted can double your heater's lifespan.
